RISE
AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/

"Rehearsals"
Psalm
1:1-3 (KJV)
Blessed
is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor
standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and
in his law doth he meditate day and night.
[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not
wither; and
whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Rehearsals
are for the purpose of perfecting our performance. Rehearsals are
typically planned prior to plays or musicals or speaking engagements
or wedding ceremonies or anything of that nature. There is a dry run
carried out which is designed to make our behavior automatic through
continued practice. Rehearsals transform unfamiliar procedures into
routine ones. If it weren’t for rehearsals, there is no telling
what might occur during an important event!
What
are you rehearsing these days, dear lady? Very often we perfect our
anxieties by rehearsing them; by repeating our worries and fears over
and over again in our minds and/or by voicing them to other people.
And then when the hour comes when a Christian is supposed to trust in
the Lord we find we cannot. Faith is not embedded into our beings by
way of rehearsal; trusting God is not an automatic response due to
the simple fact that we have practiced
anxiety. So, if you’d like to change your performance, then change
your dry run! Rehearse your circumstances with faith written into
your script! Yes, the Word of God is the believer’s script (or
should be!) and all we have to do is follow precisely what God has
written. Take a text from the Bible and carry it with you all day
long. Make it your work to meditate upon the scriptures. Rehearse
God’s promises and apply them to your situation as you think about
things. Take an unfamiliar way of life and make it routine by
reciting the truth! This kind of spiritual rehearsal will perfect our
performance in any setting!
Psalm
119:97 (KJV)
O
how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
Regrettably,
many Christian women are following Satan’s screenplay and are star
performers as far as he is concerned. They have recited the devil’s
anxious script so often that it has become a bad mental habit. And
consequently, it shows up in their daily conversation and conduct.
Ladies, this is the way that Satan spreads his hopeless philosophy on
life. If we belong to Jesus we should do everything we can in our
power NOT to promote hell but heaven! Don’t use Satan’s lines
when you are talking with other people or even yourself – talk
faith and trust in God! (1 Cor. 14:33) Watch your dry run closely;
rehearse what is true, honest, just, pure, and lovely, of good
report, any virtue and any praise. (Phil. 4:8) Gain control of your
performance by way of a right
rehearsal; drill yourself till it becomes routine to trust the Lord,
come what may!
God
Bless,
