Dear Churches, Pastors, and Friends,
“Something is not right.  Why isn’t the water working at the sink!”  Checking problem areas around the sink with no avail, I looked outside to see water perfectly flowing across the driveway while two men stood nearby with worried faces frantically talking on cell phones.  Armed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I opened the door and peacefully started towards the newly forming creek.  I already knew what had happened:  these two men were commissioned by the city for Archaeological digging along the busy roadway because the city wanted to widen the road.  As I approached the dig team the “boss” ran to me with a “please don’t yell at me” look on his face and said he would have this fixed right away...the other man possessed the telltale voice of a sodomite.   Looks like avoiding striking an underground water line would seem pretty basic for an archaeological team, but I didn’t say that out loud.  I steered the conversation away from the situation at hand and pointed it towards more important things than running water.  I left the two Indiana Jones wannabes with The Gospel of Jesus Christ and a good attitude over being temporarily inconvenienced.   You see, I am 90% sure neither one of these guys would have ever darkened the doors of a Bible Believing church.  Yet the saving knowledge of the Blood of Jesus got to them--God made it possible for them to hear about His Son...and he used a busted water line to do it!
God has been very merciful to us while on deputation and October was a good month for the ministry to Italy.  One story of how God works things out for His children occurred at a  mission’s conference in Kingsport, TN:   a lady who attended the church was the mother of a  late coworker of mine from the police world.  I had absolutely no clue who she was (and vice versa) during the entire conference until the very last day when she basically adopted me and my kids as her grandkids!  You can’t even make up stories like that!
Please continue to pray for us as that November takes us to PA and NY...the year is coming to a close, but our schedule is still going strong (Glory to God)!
We are very excited to see where God brings the support level after the turn of the new year...many, and I do mean MANY of the churches we presented the work expressed to us they desire the ministry to Italy as part of their Mission’s department.  Missionaries are sent out of one local church however, missionaries are also extensions of the local churches that support them, i.e. the physical ambassador of that church to another country.  I am proud and honored to be part of your local church via your mission’s department.
In Christ,

Bro. Harrison Haynes

Your Missionary to Italy
