First Deputation Trip With All 6 of Us

This last week we traveled to upstate NY, where we had some meetings and a family reunion for my Italian side of the family. This was a great trip in our new van and the Lord was good to us through the churches and we are so thankful for the Lord's travelling mercies!
We thought we were going to have to turn around and go home after only a couple hours of driving our first day. We stopped at a rest area, and Harrison saw that there was what seemed to be a coolant leak. So he poured in some more coolant, and it was just gushing out the bottom of the engine. We thought that a pipe had completely broken. So my husband went inside the rest area to try and find a number for a repair shop close by. He got the number to one just across the interstate we were on and we prayed we would be able to make it over there.
As we pulled up, we saw a man standing there as if he was just waiting for us and he and my husband talked over the situation and he took a look at our engine. Come to find out, the reservoir for the coolant was too full and that's why it was overflowing! At that point, we could laugh about the situation and we were so relieved! It was an opportunity to share the Lord with the mechanic, though, and he was thankful for the witness and said he would read the tract. He didn't even charge us for his help which was such a blessing! Divine appointments, amen?!
Our children did very well in the car for the 14 hour trip and I was thankful for that since it's hard on little ones to be in the car for 2 full days of driving. Here are some pictures of them from our trip...

My big girl Chloe, 6

 Sweet Baby Claire, 2

My little man Clarke and his new smile, 4

Precious Baby Claudia at Papa's house in NY, 5months

We were thankful to be used and also to see family that I haven't seen in many years. It was also such a joy to stay with my grandfather and cook for him and share his great grandchildren with him. He so enjoyed the company and we loved every minute we got to spend with him!
It was so funny too, because my poor husband comes from a very small family and has ONLY 1 COUSIN - PERIOD!!! I could not believe that when I met him because I have over 30 cousins! I didn't think it was possible to have only 1 cousin, but apparently it is! Anyway, we pull up to my Italian family reunion and there are hundreds of people there and an Italian flag flying out front of the pavilion. My husband was just looking around in amazement and said Oh My Word! Culture shock for sure for a good ole boy from TN! LOL
It was great though, and he had such a blast there and got to meet all my relatives and understand Italians even more. Amen!
We are busy trying to set up more meetings, so please be in prayer for the open doors! We are excited to see the Lord directing our steps! :)
