June Prayer Letter

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,


Thank you all again for the continued prayer and support.  I am happy to inform many of you that your labor is not in vain!  During the past months while making deputation calls, I have seen a pattern—and it puzzled me for a long time.  Every missionary has to grind out the phone calls and do all the hard stuff about the deputation process.  But I kept coming back to the pattern I continued to see—and it didn’t matter where I called in the US:  north…same thing, south…same thing, west coast…same thing.   What is the pattern and WHY is God showing this to me?
The Pattern:
Pastors/churches want RESULTS….bottom line.  BUT the good news is that I as a missionary, building support to get to the field, can give results!  I thank God because I never really saw this before and am actually sorry that I have not done a better job of connecting people to the fruits of their labor.  I just took for granted churches saw missionaries and wanted to get them to the field…I understand now the reason BEHIND WHY they don’t take on missionaries.  
I have found out the WHY behind the conversations with pastors!  I have found out the WHY behind churches not giving to missions!  As a result, I have found how to connect churches to the mission field so they ACTUALLY SEE the end results of THEIR labor!  I am so glad because I thought it was in:  the right suit, the right message, the right Bible school, the right prayer letter, the right mission field, the right “broke-down” deputation car….it’s NONE of that!  
From now on I will be able to explain in 10 minutes WHY your congregation NEEDS to support their pastor and missions not just for the cause of Christ but FOR THEIR OWN GOOD.  
Please pray for Joe, a guy I currently work with, telling him about what Jesus really does for sinners…and not what he was raised to think:  that religion is just a way to control the masses.
Our deputation trip to NY will be fruitful—I believe God can build ½ of our needed support for Italy in only a few churches in NY.    Please continue to pray for the rest of the support!  Make sure you check out the new updates to our website:  haynes4italy.com!  I will be doing a better job of connecting people to the fruits of their labor on the website, bring the mission field to you!

Haynes Family Prayer Letter - October 2018

October 2018 Dear Supporting Churches and Friends, Got some good news to report in from this past month.  First, I will tell you about a great project which Justine is doing  for two orphanages in Rome. A while back, somebody gifted Justine about 100 skeins of yarn (that’s one of those yarn thingies for all you guys out there).  Justine was praying about using the yarn to make something on a large scale for a group of people, but also using it to get the Gospel of our Lord Jesus to that specific group .  One of Justine’s heroes is Dorcas because she made garments for the poor as her ministry, which ultimately brought Glory to God when Peter raised her from the dead in Acts 9.  Justine got in touch with an orphanage in Rome which currently has 80 kids living there. Justine explained everything to the director and they were THRILLED about handmade scarves and gave us the “green light” to send everything.  T...
