July Prayer Letter
Greetings to All,
Thank you all for your prayers. This past month I made the most of a family reunion in New York. I was able to present the ministry in 2 churches near Rochester, NY. These churches are on fire for God and with me on deputation to Italy—I had a great time presenting the ministry. Most people in New York have some relatives that are either Italian or Irish, but almost everybody in New York has family which are catholic. Since most people in New York can relate to either “Italian” or “catholic”…our ministry was received very well. I would love to be able to do deputation in the north eastern part of the US, because it seems many people can relate to being lost yet being very religious—just like the people in Italy.
While traveling to the family reunion, I thought I was having trouble with the van’s cooling system….not good when you are “on the road”. I called a local mechanic shop which was literally right down the road! I arrived and told him what was going on…he looked at the engine and said that it was a normal thing and everything seemed to be just fine. I was able to give him a tract because even though this looked like a very busy shop—nobody else was there. I gave this man a tract and off we went as if nothing was wrong! --I believe THAT stop was a divine appointment, because it appeared to be something bad enough to require immediate attention—but turned out to be nothing at all! Praise the Lord, and please pray for that man. Truly, sometimes it can be hard to look past your problems to see the souls God wants you to see, and help.
I am happy to announce I have only 1 more class to complete in order to be completely finished with my studies in Charity Baptist Bible Institute. I have been working on Bible School while working, deputation, family, and all the other things in life…so I am really excited about finishing it. (I don’t have a specific month or week/I just know that the end is almost here)
Prayer Request:
1. Many phone calls and emails go out to pastors when trying to schedule meetings to present your missionary work. My desire is to build support, and many churches truly WANT to support missions—please pray that I can contact the churches and build the schedule needed to produce the needed support for God’s work on the foreign field.
2. I have been working part time while trying to provide for my family while trying to build deputation (meeting/money)…with the current situations of deputation, I am in need of different housing and a different way to provide for a family WHILE trying to get back to the mission field. Please pray that I find the correct place to live and the correct job(s) so I can be a good steward of what God has given me already. If you are a pastor, evangelist, or missionary, you may have a better idea of what I am trying to say.
3. Please pray for an understanding of reality. –I have started running into pastors/churches who don’t want to see ANY information about missions. >>I understand why missionaries get discouraged…please pray that PASTORS and God’s people in the congregation continue to see the needs of the lost.
However, things that are still working well! Street preaching with our local church is at an ‘all time high’ with approx 20 people hitting the streets. I am putting together a deputation ‘run’ to Ohio—the plan is for November (churches must book missionaries in advance). I am very happy to inform you that I have completed an email process to aid in deputation. You can see it here: https://harrisonhaynes.leadpages.net/missionary-landing-page/ (Click or Copy and Paste)---this will allow me to maximize time in contacting new churches!
Thanks for your prayers, God Bless,
