Prayer Request

Image
Please pray as my laptop computer has crashed despite our best efforts to save it! My brother is going to look at it this week and Lord willing, be able to fix it! But that means, there will be no Rise and Shines sent out until I'm able to retrieve the files and transfer them to another source. It also affects our other sites we are working on building as well, so please pray as this is quite a frustrating problem when we don't have the finances to replace an entire computer right now. God knows our situation, and just like I said in my last post about my prayers that the Lord answered, I'm thankful to have a need so that I can see God work as only He can.   I pray for all of you dear readers as well, that God will work in your hearts and lives in a special way and that somehow, this blog can be a blessing to you, as it is to me.   :) Merry Christmas :)

Answers To Prayer

Image
I know that last time I wrote to you all, I asked for prayer regarding our missions site and for the finances to be able to renew the hosting for the year. Well, yesterday when I checked my mail, I had an email from our site's web host saying thank you for your payment and that it has gone through successfully and now our site is back up and running! We still have not had the finances to pay for this, so we have no idea where this came from, other than an answer to prayer and if someone reading this is responsible for being an answer to prayer, THANK YOU! (See for yourself haynes4italy.com ) What a blessing it is to see the Lord answer prayer in ways you could not imagine on your own! That's why I truly do try to keep the attitude of thanking the Lord for the needs we do have, as they are opportunities for Him to get glory and show us His power and great love for us - and you know, He has NEVER failed us one time!  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of

Meeting Your Goals

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother)  Are you the kind of person that sets goals for yourself?  If so, what kind?  How are you doing in meeting those goals you have set up?  Do you even think goals are important, or are you of the opinion that they really aren't necessary?  For some people, everything they do is geared toward reaching their goal, and it becomes their life passion.  For others however, they seem to think that anything good that comes about is stumbled over and never really happens on purpose.  Let's look at this interesting topic today through the eyes of the apostle Paul in Phillipians 3:8-10.  Just what was his goal… Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:  for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him , not having mine own righteousness , which is of the law, but that which is

November/December Prayer Letter

November/December 2013 Haynes Family, Missionary to Italy Hello Everyone and God Bless, Even though I am not currently “on the field”, the harvest is everywhere around and I am not out of the fight!  Although my family and I have continued to have our share of trials we are still pushing onward—just like many of you reading this letter.  I am happy to state I have had answered prayer in the past few months and also happy to state our church is having a mission’s conference in December.  Also, this prayer letter I am happy to inform everyone we are having another girl:  Claudia Mandela Haynes….(Mandela was the town where we lived in Italy) I know some people might not understand/agree/like, etc, etc everything each other does or HOW they perform the task God has given them, but people are still pushing for the Lord Jesus Christ which is a blessing.  Even though I might not be overseas, there is plenty of work to be done right here in the USA.  I have greatly enjoined street p

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Image
Today is my mother's birthday, and she would have been 54 years old today. She has been with the Lord for 5 years now and my children and I decorate the little dwarf Christmas tree we planted a while ago for her birthday every year. This year, my little girl, Chloe, crocheted a beaded garland for Grandma's little tree. (You can see it a little bit in the picture) Mom's favorite time of year was Christmas and the house was always beautifully decorated for the season. Memories always flood my heart and mind of her and all the things we did together and even though the memories sometimes bring tears, I'm thankful that I have the memories. Thankful that my Mom left me a goodly heritage. Her testimony and ministry has been able to be a blessing and help to women all over the world, even after her death. I'm so thankful to be a part of that. Psalm 16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.  Thinking of my mother's in

May I Be Excused

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) After pondering our scripture verse for today, I've now got a little tune ringing in my head.  Perhaps you're familiar with it, the chorus goes like this: Excuses, Excuses; you'll hear them every day. The devil will supply them if from church you'll stay away. When people come to know the Lord, the devil always loses, And so to keep us now from living right, he offers us EXCUSES! Are you one for making excuses all the time?  Maybe you'll better be able to answer that question after looking at Proverbs 15:19, which says: The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns:  but the way of the righteous is made plain. The slothful person is of course, a lazy individual.  He is a SLUG!  He indulges in inactivity, has a habit of being idle.  In other words, he's not inclined to work.  (Sounds like a fellow who's going nowhere to me!)  The Bible says this per

Making Decisions

Image
RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Remember Miss Pam's devotional books make great Christmas gifts for any lady - friend or family - and is a great ministering tool! All of our books and music are available in our bookstore at  haynes4italy.com . Proverbs 6:20-22 (KJV) My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: [21] Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. [22] When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. One of the areas Christians tend to struggle the most is in making decisions. This is a time when a great deal of doubt and anxiety is experienced by God’s people. However, what we see in our text today is that the effects of attaching God’s Word to ourselves causes decision making to be an uncomplicated task! Ladies, how would you say that you typically make decisions in your

Make Use Of Me

Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Romans 16:1-16 (KJV) I commend unto you Phebe our sister , which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: [2] That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also. [3] Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: [4] Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. [5] Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. [6] Greet Mary , who bestowed much labour on us. [7] Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me. [8] Greet Amplias my beloved in the Lord. [9] Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved. [10] S

Gender Revealing Party

Claudia Mandela Haynes is due to be born March 14th! We are thankful that baby #4 is healthy and look forward to meeting our new baby girl.   At my ultrasound today, my step sister came along and the ultrasound tech gave her the slip of paper with the gender of the baby on it. She wanted so badly for me to have a gender revealing party. I was very patient :) and waited all afternoon until we arrived at my dad's house for dinner where she had a box waiting with the right colored balloons inside and when I opened it, well....you saw - they were pink!!! What a fun way to welcome another baby blessing into our family. Appreciate your continued prayers!

Make Me To Know

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello  (my late mother) Job13:23, "How many are mine iniquities and my sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin." Can you ever remember a time when you prayed this way? What did Job ask God to grant him? Knowledge of his sins... He actually  wants  to tackle the worst about himself and invited God to help him! A rare quality indeed…The Bible says in Proverbs 20:6, “Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?” Through Job we discover the necessary perspective we should all have in order to remain teachable and moldable as God’s children! Ladies, our heavenly Father will gladly make known our transgressions and our sins to us when we ask Him. Not because He is a great big bully, but because He loves us and wants His children to cut themselves off from sin. Hence, we are then free to grow spiritually. However, most of us are more in tune to the many sins of others rather t

Make Haste To Bow

Image
RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Ezekiel 1:28 (KJV) As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake. God’s holiness is entirely humbling! Here we learn that t he glory of the Lord appeared with such intensity that Ezekiel fell facedown, overwhelmed by the contrast between God’s holiness and his own sinfulness and insignificance. Truly there is an awesome difference between the majesty of the Lord and the weakness of our flesh! Take a moment to consider the sentiments that would move a person to lie prostrate on the ground… Are you familiar with any of them? Eventually every person will fall before God, either out of reverence and respect for His mercy or out of fear of His judgment. Based on the way you are living to

October Prayer Letter

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,                                      I changed some things on my website ( haynes4italy.com ) so last month’s  prayer   letter  might not have gotten out.  This is the  prayer   letter  for the month of  October , 2013.  I have several updates and want to thank each and every person for their  prayers .  First, I am very excited and thankful to Jesus Christ that I had the honor and privilege to lead my daughter to Christ!  Chloe is 5 years old, and we started talking to her about sin and the consequences of sin when we were on the mission filed in Italy.  I never want to push salvation on to someone, and get them to  pray  a  prayer  without meaning it…I just keep giving them the Bible and giving them the information they need to make the decision for themselves.  On  October  1 st , I showed my daughter from the Bible the entire plan of salvation and she decided she wanted to be saved since she knew she was a sinner a
