Merry Christmas from the Haynes Family

Image
As we come to a close on 2016, we can't help but reflect on this year and all the things we have learned! There have been positive and negative lessons, but all needful nonetheless! Our family is more thankful for each other this year - we are each other's best friends and as the children grow and learn, we are becoming more of a team and working to serve the Lord together and it is a blessing to my heart. We are also very thankful for all the dear, sweet people that God has put in our path this year! We have made some wonderful new friends and treasure them all and their prayers for us! 2017 is already looking like it will be a great year and we are looking forward to what God has for us on our journey to Italy!  Buon Natale, The Haynes Family (in order of picture: Harrison, Claudia, Clarke, Claire, Chloe, Clint, Justine)

Paranoid

Image
RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! By Pam Iannello (my late mother) The world defines a paranoid person as one who distrusts others and a holds a constant suspicion that people around them have sinister motives. Individuals with this outlook tend to have excessive trust in their own knowledge and abilities and usually avoid close relationships. They search for hidden meanings in everything and read hostile intentions into the actions of others… They are quick to challenge the loyalties of friends and loved ones and often appear cold and distant. They usually shift blame to other people and tend to carry long grudges. And below is a published list of other traits relating to paranoia: Unwillingness to forgive perceived insults Excessive sensitivity to setbacks Distrustfulness and excessive self-reliance Projection of blame onto others Consumed by anticipation of betrayal Combative and tenacious adherence to personal rights Relentlessly suspicious

The Haynes Family Prayer Letter - October 2016

The Haynes Family Missionaries to Italy                October 2016 Sending Church/Support Bible Believers Baptist Church ℅ Missionary Harrison Haynes 120 Capshaw Rd Madison, AL 35757 615-803-1725 www.haynes4italy.com haynes4italy@gmail.com Dear Churches, Pastors, and Friends, “Something is not right.  Why isn’t the water working at the sink!”  Checking problem areas around the sink with no avail, I looked outside to see water perfectly flowing across the driveway while two men stood nearby with worried faces frantically talking on cell phones.   Armed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ , I opened the door and peacefully started towards the newly forming creek.  I already knew what had happened:  these two men were commissioned by the city for Archaeological digging along the busy roadway because the city wanted to widen the road.  As I approached the dig team the “boss” ran to me with a “please don’t yell at me” look on his face and said he

Homeschool for Free

Image
I have been meeting many homeschool families on deputation and am often asked what curriculum we use and for some advice. Many would also love to homeschool but can't afford it or are intimidated. Well, a couple years ago when I was researching curriculums and homeschooling on a budget of zero, the Lord brought me upon a great find that I hope will be of help to you or someone you know.  You can now homeschool for FREE - yes, free and starting from preschool to 12th grade. It is Christian based curriculum and is all laid out day by day for each grade and all free to use daily and online. All you need is a tablet or computer. This amazing resource may sound too good to be true, but it is run by a missionary's wife who homeschools their several children and when she compiled all the materials, she was burdened to share her work for free as a ministry for other families.  When we have internet, the kids love using this website. We will definitely be doing it full time in Italy i

P.M.S. For Female Believers

Image
RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) PMS, or pre-menstrual syndrome, is a time of the month for females when basic emotions are elevated by way of hormonal changes. Syndrome is a word that simply means “a set of symptoms”. In other words, ladies, there are definite signs that our hormones are shifting gears. PMS does not mean that women with bodies preparing for menstruation are sporting a fatal disease that requires admittance to the intensive care unit for ongoing observation and/or a special license to be excused from anything they say or do prior to blood flow. The fact is Christian women can rise above their “set of symptoms” with the help of the Lord – IF THEY REALLY WANT TO. The emotional changes that we experience are simply more of what we already contend with on a daily basis. For instance, if you have successfully managed a particular emotion any other time of the month, PMS is nothing out of the ordinary; the sam

Heavenly Recipe: Ginger Mint Green Tea

Image
Many of you know that my husband is from the south and so as a result of that, he occasionally likes iced tea. I never grew up drinking sweet tea and find the southern sweet tea to be overwhelmingly sweet - like a sugar transfusion! It puts me in a major slump after I drink it as my hypoglycemic body screams at me for drinking so much sugar! So I have never given it to our family for the harm the white sugar does to everyone PLUS regular tea bags contain high amounts of fluoride in them which really harms the thyroid gland.  BUT in my efforts to please my husband, thank the Lord for being able to easily find organic sugar and teas. I had some of the teas pictured above that I found on clearance and I had some fresh, organic mint from our pastor's garden which I dried this summer.  This green tea blend, which I love for it's digestive benefits and antioxidant properties, is very light and refreshing while not too strong in any one flavor - it's very well balanced. And if

Haynes Family Prayer Letter - September 2016

Image
SEPTEMBER 2016 Dear Supporting Churches and Friends,          The Haynes family is well at the moment and September has been very productive. We had a small break in the schedule so we were able to rest at our home church for a couple weeks where we celebrated Clint's 1 st birthday, and I was able to preach for my pastor a couple of times. It was time well spent because we developed a Facebook Group on our website and Justine found an online tool and developed some great witnessing gear for Italian Americans to help open doors to reach other Italian Americans, which you can see it here and on our website. We have the rest of 2016 booked with meetings and missions conferences up north so we will be "back in the saddle". More churches have committed to support the work in Italy, so we are very happy and thankful for that news. At this point we are less than 20% support, but we are praying to be past 20% by the end of October. I am praying to be at 50% by J

Exciting New Logo for Rise and Shine for Jesus!

Image
Hello There! I'm so glad you are reading this post!  I have been working on a logo for Rise and Shine since my mom never really had one. I created this one for her in her favorite colors and her favorite style. I think she would be very pleased! Rise and Shine for Jesus by Justine Haynes But the best part is, is that now you ladies can have this special logo on different items around your home. There are necklaces, aprons, mugs, t-shirts, Christmas ornaments and More with the theme on there and you can share these with friends and family and even use it as a tool to share this blog and my mom's devotionals with other ladies to help encourage them in their spiritual walk! If you didn't already know, the Psalm 121 on the logo was my mom's favorite chapter when she was sick with cancer and the chapter she read every day. When she could no longer read, she had me read it to her and I read it to her even in hospice the day before she died. So, it's a specia

Heavenly Remedy: Natural Help for Lupus

Image
I have Lupus and for many of you that aren't familiar with the disease, it can be tricky to pin point since it resembles many other illnesses. It also flares up under stress which I have plenty of while on deputation and as a result of that, I have had a very bad rash on my hands, known as the Lupus rash. I have been studying the disease for a while and have pretty much narrowed down some of the causes of the disease. It's basically a result of toxic build up in the system, environmentally and from pesticides on food and chemicals in water which in turn causes inflammation and distress in the body as these poisons accumulate and wreak havoc. That being said, I hadn't told anyone that I have Lupus and was praying and trying desperately to find something that would help all the symptoms I was having. On my birthday, my pastor's wife gave me 3 bottles of essential oils which was such a blessing and answer to prayer . Among them was an oil called Ocotea. I had not hear

Heavenly Recipe - Great Pasta Sauce Surprise Ingredient

Image
I have a surprise ingredient for you today that I use often and we all just love! If you are ever short on time at the end of a busy day and forgot to defrost the meat, or don't have the finances for meat and want to get some protein in your meal, then this is for you! All you do is simply add 1-2 beaten eggs to your pasta sauce while it is on a low heat and stir it in until smooth. There will be no scrambled eggs in your sauce - you can't even tell it's there. (yes, the egg is in my sauce in the picture above) The egg adds a wonderful mellow and rich undertone to the sauce and leaves everyone at the table saying it's the best sauce ever, Mom! Now, you can add this to jarred sauce or homemade. My family is Italian and as a little girl, I remember my Nana used to do this with soups as well. I do it all the time with soup and pasta and it works very well with our budget so we can fill up our 5 hungry kiddos!  Hope you try this tasty tip for yourself and

Overcoming the Odds Against You

RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Proverbs 30:24-28 (KJV) There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: [25] The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; [26] The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; [27] The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; [28] The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces. The ants – a people not strong/prepare their meat in summer TOILS AS LONG AS THE SEASON PERMITS; LABORED WHEN THINGS WERE RIPE; PREPARES FOR FUTURE; ENDURED HEAT; SLEEPS ONLY WHEN WORK IS DONE AND GOAL ACHIEVED The conies – a feeble folk/make their houses in the rocks CONSCIOUS OF THEIR OWN DEFENSELESSNESS; COULDN’T BUILD A CASTLE BUT MADE USE OF WHAT WAS AVAILABLE; FACED THEIR FEARS TO GAIN SECURITY The locusts have no king/go forth by bands THOUGH LARGE IN NUMBER, THEY STAY

Heavenly Remedy: Bone Broth - Nature's Health Elixir

One common healing food that is now being recognized for its incredible health benefits is bone broth. Why? Because bone broth benefits are numerous and extensive. Bone Broth Benefits I have been using bone broth for well over a year now and have noticed many great  improvements in my family's health and found bone broth to be the  best  thing you can consume to: Treat l eaky gut syndrome Overcome food intolerances and allergies Improve joint health Reduce cellulite Boost immune system  Bone broths are nutrient-dense, easy to digest, rich in flavor and they boost healing.
