Real Changes

RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) "Real Changes" Luke 19:1-9 (KJV) And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. [2] And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. [3] And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. [4] And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. [5] And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. [6] And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. [7] And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. [8] And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation , I restore

I Have in My Hands, Two Boxes...

This poem has always meant so much to me, I had to share it with you! May it encourage you today - Enjoy 💟 I have in my hands two boxes, Which God gave me to hold.  He said, 'Put all your sorrows in the black box, And all your joys in the gold.' I heeded His words, and in the two boxes, Both my joys and sorrows I stored, But though the gold became heavier each day, The black was as light as before. With curiosity, I opened the black, I wanted to find out why, And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole, Which my sorrows had fallen out by. I showed the hole to God, and mused, 'I wonder where my sorrows could be! ' He smiled a gentle smile and said, 'My child, they're all here with me..' I asked God, why He gave me the boxes, Why the gold and the black with the hole? 'My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings, The black is for you to let go.'  ~ Arielle Perkins

Reading Between the Lines

RISE & SHINE FOR JESUS! By Pam Iannello (my late mother) "Reading Between the Lines" There is no doubt that the Bible is packed full of unique personalities. Some of these men and women are good examples and some are bad examples. I have been challenged by every one of them to either add the right or subtract the wrong in my life. One of the women in the Bible I most admire is Noah’s wife. I am looking forward to meeting her in heaven! Actually, scripture does not even give us her name and there is not a whole lot plainly stated about her but if you read between the lines, you’ll see why I admire Noah’s wife so much… Genesis 6:5-8 (KJV) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [6] And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. [7] And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the fa
