Praise YE The Lord

Image
It has been a real blessing for us and my Papa to stay with him over the summer! We have enjoyed putting lots of smiles on his face and spoiling him a little while we are here. He and Clint are such cute buddies. Rise and Shine for Jesus! by Pam Iannello (my late mother) "Praise YE The Lord" Are you comfortable with worshiping God in the presence of others?  Are you comfortable praising God in the presence of others?  These might seem like ridiculous questions to some of you, but there are many (even Christians) who consider worshiping God a private matter and prefer to keep it that way!  They simply are not comfortable hearing or participating in praise to God or in worshiping along side of others in a public setting....  Yet on the other hand, there are those of us who thoroughly enjoy coming together with God's people, that have no problem with it at all.  Why the difference?  What do you think it is that makes worshiping God in the presence

Haynes Family Prayer Letter - July 2017

Image
Dear Churches and Friends, July was a tough month physically, yet a productive month spiritually!  For those who don’t know, Justine had to go to the hospital this month due to a severe allergic reaction to a spider bite.  She is recovering, but it did a lot of damage and will take some time to fully recuperate - we covet your prayers for physical healing! I enjoy witnessing wherever I’m staying, and NY possesses a wonderful open door of conversation due to the “ so buddy,  where you from with that accent ?”  I ask you to please be in prayer about the salvation of Fran ...a nice elderly lady who is a neighbor.  She came outside and spoke with Justine and the kids and told them that her husband died almost a month ago and she was having a hard time . The children made her cards and Justine made her some pumpkin bread and we included the gospel in with our gift to her. Miss Fran was very happy with her gift and we pray for more opportunities to speak with her while we are here.

Heavenly Recipe: Beef Jerky Curry Dinner - One Pot Dish

This week, God gave me a very tasty recipe to share with you all and it's a great one dish, healthy dinner! I've enjoyed cooking with beef jerky for something different and for changing up the flavors of dishes in a surprisingly delicious way. So this is how you make it: Beef Jerky Curry Dinner 1 organic apple, chopped 1 organic carrot, grated 1 small sweet onion, chopped 1 pkg of nitrate, msg, and hormone free beef jerky 3 cups organic brown rice 1/2 teaspoon curry powder salt to taste 5 1/2 cups purified water I sauteed the apple, carrot, and onion in about a tablespoon of olive oil and then cut/tore the beef jerky in small pieces and stirred that into the veggies and fruit. Stir in the curry  powder and then the rice. To enhance the nutty flavor of the rice, let it also saute for a minute or two, stirring occasionally. Then add in the water and salt to taste. Turn heat to low and let it simmer until all the water is absorbed - usually around 30 minutes. Serves
