Make Haste To Bow

Image
RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Ezekiel 1:28 (KJV) As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake. God’s holiness is entirely humbling! Here we learn that t he glory of the Lord appeared with such intensity that Ezekiel fell facedown, overwhelmed by the contrast between God’s holiness and his own sinfulness and insignificance. Truly there is an awesome difference between the majesty of the Lord and the weakness of our flesh! Take a moment to consider the sentiments that would move a person to lie prostrate on the ground… Are you familiar with any of them? Eventually every person will fall before God, either out of reverence and respect for His mercy or out of fear of His judgment. Based on the way you are living to

October Prayer Letter

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,                                      I changed some things on my website ( haynes4italy.com ) so last month’s  prayer   letter  might not have gotten out.  This is the  prayer   letter  for the month of  October , 2013.  I have several updates and want to thank each and every person for their  prayers .  First, I am very excited and thankful to Jesus Christ that I had the honor and privilege to lead my daughter to Christ!  Chloe is 5 years old, and we started talking to her about sin and the consequences of sin when we were on the mission filed in Italy.  I never want to push salvation on to someone, and get them to  pray  a  prayer  without meaning it…I just keep giving them the Bible and giving them the information they need to make the decision for themselves.  On  October  1 st , I showed my daughter from the Bible the entire plan of salvation and she decided she wanted to be saved since she knew she was a sinner a

New Book Published of Our Time in Italy!

We are so pleased to share part of our experience in Italy with you all! While we were living in Mandela, Italy, we took some beautiful pictures of God's creation and they were so pretty, we knew we had to turn it into a photo book for others to enjoy also. We plan on making more photo books as we go back to more mountain top villages. Now you can experience Italy with us and we hope you enjoy what the Lord allows us to do for His glory! Please share :)

Mail Call

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Who likes to get mail?  I do, I do!  I like going to the mailbox and finding something personal in there, just for me. :-) I'm sure our missionary ladies know exactly what I am talking about…  By the way, I hope we are all faithful to write to our missionary wives and families, as I'm sure it can get pretty lonely on the field.  E-mail is nice, but a hand written letter in the mail is nicer, amen?  It's almost as if the person themselves arrived on your doorstep! Suppose that today, when you went out to your mailbox to get the mail, there was a letter addressed to you from Jesus Christ.  Would you be excited?  Would you drop all the other mail just to read it?  Imagine each one of us standing at our mailboxes and in quiet anticipation, opening our letters from Jesus…  What would they read?  For what would Christ commend you, and in what ways would He correct you? Dear, __________ "

Haynes Family Baby Update

Image
Many of you have kindly asked for updates regarding baby #4. The Lord has answered many fervent prayers regarding this. For a while we thought we were going to go with a midwife, but couldn't find one we could afford. My husband has temporary work right now which is just barely over part time so paying for a midwife was out of the question. We didn't have a way to get insurance either as I would be considered a pre-existing condition. Finally, the Lord opened the door for me to get TennCare which is through the state of TN and covers my healthcare 100%!     It was such an answer to prayer, but then the next issue was which doctor to go to. I wanted to stick with the midwifery group that delivered my last 2 babies, but they are an hour's drive away and I didn't think they took state insurance. A few weeks later, I found out that they did take TNCare, but I was still hesitant to schedule with them being so far away and my last baby was born in 2 hours!     A l

Mother In Law Ministry

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) Ruth 1:14-17 (KJV) And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her . [15] And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. [16] And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: [17] Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me . Oftentimes as we read the story of Ruth, we study it in the context of marriage. However, I was greatly convicted of this young woman’s wholehearted commitment to her mother-in-law ! Ladies, how do you really feel about your husband’s mother? After reading this moving account of Ruth’s heart toward Nao

Lovest Thou Me?

Image
RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) John 21:16-17 (KJV) He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me ? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. [17] He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me ? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me ? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. What an awesome responsibility Jesus Christ leaves with shepherds! They have the task of not only leading but feeding the sheep. And the one thing that Jesus points out to Simon here is that if you love ME, you will take proper care of MY sheep. Yes, the most important thing a pastor can do is love the Lord Jesus Christ! You see, there are enemies that would love to destroy the flock of God; therefore a shepherd must be ever watchful and

Lost Art of Personal Devotions

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello  (my late mother) In view of the fact that these devotions have expanded to touch hundreds of women, the question has been posed to me as to whether or not Rise and Shine is available in book form, or soon will be.  While I think this is a good idea, I am still heavy hearted about something.  Along with their desire to see these writings published, a particular personal comment accompanying nearly every request has caught my attention. Loads of ladies have testified that they cannot find a “decent devotional book” and I wholeheartedly agree with that report!  However, let me tell you why this troubles me so… It has become clearer than ever before that there is a rapidly growing need for women to know how to study the Word of God on their own!  Ladies, if our personal devotions were flourishing, none of us would be looking so desperately for a “decent devotional”; we would experience private fulfillment using just the scripture
