What's the Golden Word?

Image
While reading the Proverb of the day before bed with my children, we stopped at Proverbs 25:11, and I had to share my ponderings with you all too in hopes that you will be provoked as I was... "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver ." When people need encouragement do they turn to you for help or run the other way when they see you coming for fear of another verbal assault?  A timely word is likened to a golden apple in the Bible. Something that is golden is, as we well know, valuable and precious...something that is treasured. Are your words held dear to the ear of the listener? Are they precious? You know, ma

Haynes Family - Left to Right - Clarke, Justine, Claudia, Chloe, Claire, Harrison  I'm so happy to report that we heard of a company from another missionary who said that this company does prayer cards for free for missionaries! After contacting them, they replied that they still do and told us all the details of how to go about getting them started. So now, we have a new prayer card coming and the Lord provided it for us at no cost! This was such a blessing to receive. So please pray for that process...and if you know of any other missionaries that need this blessing as well, please give them our info and we will be glad to direct them to the right place! The Lord has laid a "thought" on my heart to share with you all, after He convicted me with it.  1 Corinthians 6:19,20 are well known verses and are often used with the focus in reference to taking care of  your body and not doing things which would bring shame to the Lord or not putting things in your body w

I also want to thank everybody for the prayers…Justine and baby Claudia are doing well.  We had baby Claudia Mandela on Feb. 10 th .  The new addition to our family is a blessing and an opportunity for God to send another blessing:  we have a family of 6 and a vehicle which holds 5!   --so please be in prayer for the vehicle needed...I would appreciate it. Please be in prayer about the church in Rome (the correct one!), Bro. Homan will be on furlough soon and another missionary will be “filling in”.  I know what it is like to work and devot
