Not So, Lord!

RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! By Pam Iannello - my late mother A ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church  Acts 10:9-16 (KJV) On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: [10] And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, [11] And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: [12] Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. [13] And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. [14] But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean . [15] And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. [16] This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heave

Nose or Banana?

RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello - my late mother A ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church “ Is that a nose or a banana?” I have to chuckle every time I remember the comeback my father used on us kids when we would delve into matters that were none of our business, as children often do. As soon as he uttered these words my vivid imagination immediately constructed a yellow banana protruding from the center of my face and I got the picture of how unbecoming being nosy really was! Are any of you ladies sporting around a banana today? 1 Peter 4:15 (KJV) But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters . Here are four types of people that God lumps together in one dangerous group. We may not be guilty of killing, we may not have a problem with stealing and we might even be pleased to announce that we don’t have a criminal nature at all, but many of us are far too passi

Our November Prayer Letter

November 2015 Prayer Letter Dear Supporting Churches and Friends, What a wonderful month has gone by...and it went by very quickly for us. This month started with a Great Mission's Conference which God completely opened the door  again  for us to attend! Here's How God Worked it out: I was making some calls for some deputation meetings in an area which I have not called before (cold calls). I called one pastor and he told me that they were having a mission's conference in a few days, but another missionary who was supposed to be there didn't confirm...and asked if I wanted to attend the conference. So yes, God has been opening doors with getting meetings, and we had meetings even during the Thanksgiving Holiday. As far as meetings in the future, God is picking up steam with scheduling the meetings. In Two days I scheduled 8 meetings and 2 Mission's Conferences....the next week, I scheduled 6 meetings in one day! Before I wrote this prayer letter, another pa

October 2015 Prayer Letter - The Haynes Family

The Haynes Family Missionaries to Italy October 2015 Dear Supporting Churches and Friends, I am overjoyed to write this month's prayer letter, and couldn't wait to write it after the 1 st week of October! I will begin with the wonderful meetings and Mission's Conferences which God opened the door for us to attend. I attended a wonderful mission's conference during the first week of October where they took us on for support. I got to the meeting on a dead car battery. I didn't tell anybody at the churches about it, just "bummed" jumps to get the van started and on we went. During the mission's conference God provided a car battery for us! This might not get YOU excited to hear, but for me it is answered prayer, and watching God meet a need! Listen to this: I needed a jump start in a separate town from where the mission's conference was being held....the man

September 2015 Prayer Letter

Greetings to All,   This month started very well. My wife and I (she had) had our 5th child! Clint Iannello Haynes: 9 lbs, 4 oz and 21 inches long. From water break to baby cry was 2 hours. Mommy and baby are both doing very well. God was all over it...because...as we started deputation, we had everything planned out and figured out...no problem at all. However, as we started "on the road" the insurance wasn't going to cover the birth! We found some midwives who would take Justine after being 37 weeks along, but wanted a HUGE amount of money. We didn't have the money...point blank. A very dear church family in FL did a fund raiser for us and provided some money. We were put in contact with a midwife which the original midwife teams seemed to have forgotten about...by the Grace of God, the "new" midwife accepted the money we had which was literally 20% of her normal price!! Glory to God, I have had the pleasure of literaly watching some miracles unfold right

None Beside Thee

Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) A ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church @  www.nbbconline.com How do you feel when you tell someone something and he or she completely ignores what you say? I don't mind telling you I find it extremely frustrating!  Not to mention the fact that I end up feeling less significant... Exodus 20:1-3, "And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Here in the first few verses of Exodus 20, God reestablishes Himself in the hearts and minds of His people – “I am the Lord thy God.”  Oh, how we ought to begin every day by reading and meditating upon these convicting words! What a perfect start to any day, amen? Ladies, these are the very words that God chooses and uses to describe Himself to us; to remind us of who He is. They were etched in stone with His very own finger in a

Clint Is Here!

Image
Hello! I bring wonderful news and big blessings to this post! To those of you that prayed for the birth of our son Clint, thank you very, very much. Clarke is thrilled with his new brother!!! I will try to keep all the details in the right order and as to the point as possible as so much has happened since last writing... First of all, the church in FL that sent out the email about helping us to raise funds, was much appreciated and we are thankful for their efforts and for the dear sister that receives Rise and Shines, that responded and helped as well.  I had found a midwife in AL that was about an hour away and at my fist visit with her at 35 weeks, she had a home birth kit that someone didn't need and she gave it to me! What a blessing that was, since we didn't have the money for one.  She then told me at about 36 weeks that she had too many babies due when I was and didn't think that she would be able to make it in time for my delivery being that far away,

No Summer Vacation

Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) A ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church @ www.nbbconline.com                                                                                                              With school coming to a close, many parents and children are looking forward to a break from the books - a break from reading; a break from testing; a break from studying.  Should the Christian ever look for such a break from God's Book, the Holy Bible?  Should we ever take a vacation and put an end to studying the scriptures?  Proverbs 15:28a (KJV) The heart of the righteous studieth to answer... Who does the Bible say studies?  The righteous study from their heart, with a willing attitude. What do they study? The Word of God!  Why do they study?  To learn and to be ready to give an answer, just like students need to be ready to give answers to what they have studied in their schooling.  When should they study?

August Prayer Letter

Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  I have some exciting news to report for this past month. First, deputation is going well.  For the month of August, I did meetings in the East Tennessee region.  It is a blessing to go to churches where I have never ever heard of some of the towns, and find Good, Solid, KJV Bible Believing churches going strong.  I love the lasting impression I am left with after presenting the work in Italy to God's people. I am always thankful to see how God's people take care of God's  people.  One young man at a church service I attended, was shipping off to Paris Island on the  following day.  The pastor informed everyone the whole church was to be in prayer and to keep this young man lifted  up while in bootcamp because he was about to meet the nicest people in  the world:  The Drill Instructors of the United States Marine Corp! Pastors are a good thing!  Take care of yours! 2 Young Men surrendered to Jesus Christ at one mee

No Other Way Than Woeful

Image
Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello - my late mother A ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church @ www.nbbconline.com Can I interest any of you in some woe today?  That's right, I said "woe".  Woe is defined as sorrow, great distress, calamity, affliction, and grief. Not interested, you say?  Then why do you think it is that people often feel there is security to be gained outside of God?  Yes, even Christians… Isaiah 30:1 (KJV) Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin. It was often the fault and folly of the Jews that when they were troubled they sought help, counsel, and guidance from others instead of looking up to God.  Times have not changed much, for it is often our fault and folly as well!  Men have always been prone to leaning unto their own understandings, yet according to this verse, what is the end result?
