Prepared To Participate

Image
Little Clint turned 2 this month! RISE AND SHINE FOR JESUS! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) "Prepared To Participate" John 6:5-9 (KJV) When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? [6] And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. [7] Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. [8] One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, [9] There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? Truly there are plenty of details pertaining to this story in scripture that affect us in all sorts of ways. Before this year comes to a close I want to focus on a different aspect of this particular account each day. So at this moment let me share with you some things that I’ve been

Haynes Family Prayer Letter - August 2017

Haynes Family Prayer Letter August 2017 Dear Churches, Thank you for your prayers this month!!  We needed them!  However, it seems like so many other missionaries, pastors, evangelists, brothers and sisters are under seemingly MORE spiritual attack than ever.    First, Justine is getting better, but it’s a long process.  After talking with some others about spider bites--it appears that the effects of bites from any poisonous animal/insect takes a long time to “get out of the system”.  So we still thank you for your prayers in this matter as she still has some healing to do so she can have the strength that we can travel again. I wish to tell you:  A great and faithful man, Bro. Bill Eubanks sent me a KJV Bible for me to send to President Trump (after the news of the confirmation that the president received the Gospel tract I sent him).   I sent the Bible and ask that you would be in prayer about this matter because I included a letter explaining how God is good to peo

"Sit Still, My Daughter"

Image
"Sit Still, My Daughter" Ruth 3:18 Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.  "Sit still, my daughter!" Just sit calmly still! Nor deem these days - these waiting days as ill. The One Who loves thee best, Who plans thy way, Hath not forgotten thy need today; And, if He waits, 'tis sure He waits to prove To thee, His tender child, His heart's love. "Sit still, my daughter." Just sit calmly still, Nor move one step, not even one until His way hath opened. Then, ah, then how swift thy feet Thy inner being, ah, then how strong. And waiting days not counted too long. "Sit still, my daughter." Just sit calmly still, Thou longest much to know thy dear Lord's will While anxious thoughts steal their way  Carrodingly within, because of His delay- Persuade thyself in simple faith to rest That

Quit Supposin'

Here is another poem that I have in my little stash, and I have one more that I will share with you...but we will save that for next time! This poem doesn't need any introduction, for its meaning, even though written in a "cute" manner, is quite clear and convicting as to our oft feebleness. I pray that this will help your perspective stay focused on God and His countless blessings! "Quit Supposin'" Don't start your day by supposin' that trouble is just ahead, It's better to stop supposin' and start with a prayer instead, And make it a prayer of Thanksgiving for the wonderful things God has wrought like the beautiful sunrise and sunset, " God's Gifts" that are free and not bought - For what is the use of supposin' the dire things that could happen to you and worrying about some misfortune that seldom if ever come true- but instead of just idle supposin' step forward to meet each new

The Apple of My Father's Eye

Image
This is a poem that I wrote several years ago during a particularly difficult trial in my life. God has recently been teaching me a similar lesson but just in a different area of my life and He reminded me of this poem that was such an outpouring of my heart at that time and what I had come to adore about my Savior. So God gently whispered to me, "Remember what you wrote that you learned about Me?" Yes, Lord, I remember now and I will by Your grace, keep it in my heart. Today I share this poem with you, in hopes that it will encourage you too in your walk with the Lord.  The Apple of My Father's Eye As the apple of my Father's eye,  there is one place that together we love to abide. Hand in hand at His right side I walk with Him completely satisfied. In times that my heart feels very frightened at the pathway that before me He has enlightened, It is then that I let go of my Father's strong hand to hide my face from the direction of His I d
