This Week: Asheboro, NC

Image
Well, we headed toward North Carolina after being in the Tri-Cities and met lots more great folks and stayed in the very historic Mocksville. We loved seeing all the OLD homes in the area and found a neat historic spot... Claudia was exhausted from all the travel and caught a nap in a prophet's chamber as we packed up the car for NC. In Mocksville, NC, we saw the burial site of Daniel Boone's parents. Chloe and Clarke got to learn about them and we incorporated that into our schooling that day. THIS IS MY NEW INVENTION! How I dry laundry on the road ;) Claudia spilled apple juice all on her leggings. The rest of her clothes were in the cartop carrier and not accessible (lesson learned) so I washed these leggings in the sink and then hung them to dry from the hook right next to the air vent. After a few hours and rotating them, they were dry! Deputation DIY! Clint enjoys kefir smoothies now and Chloe loves feeding it to him! It was a really neat treat

Observing The Geese

Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/ By Pam Iannello (my late mother) While doing some research in preparation for school one day, I came across a brief chapter in one of my books that covered the topic of geese. Each year around this time we see many of them flying south which prompted me to want to read up on them. Maybe where you are located you too can see them flying overhead and hear them honking at each other. Whenever we hear their unmistakable call, we always stop what we are doing and run to locate the geese in the sky. Some flocks are larger than others, but they all appear to know exactly what they are doing and it is amazing to observe! Today I want to share with you a summary of information I gathered about geese from the book "Of Skies and Seas" by Joanne E. DeJonge, because I think you'll get a blessing from it… While flying in perfect V formation high overhead, these geese make their journey south many times, but in the dark night they

This Week: Missions House in Tri-Cities, TN

, This week we were in Kingsport, TN for a missions conference and the nearby area for some more meetings. The church in Kingsport had a beautiful missions HOUSE for us to stay in! We enjoyed the week in a 3 bedroom, fully furnished home - complete with bunkbeds! The children had a wonderful time and the Lord was so kind and gracious in meeting many needs through this church! Praise the Lord for faithful saints :) Below is a quick peek into our week here... Claudia enjoyed hiding under the beds at the missions house. Who needs toys?! Harrison bought me some olives when he went to the grocery store! Sweet surprise! Some girls need diamonds to feel loved; all I need are Sicilian olives ;) As an outing, the church in Kingsport took us to nearby Bay's Mountain - which has a Nature Reserve and dam. This is looking over the top of the dam down the falls. Little Clint is 6 months old now and he loved being outside on such a pretty day! Clint and Daddy on Ba

February Prayer Letter 2016

The Haynes to Italy February 2016 This was a good month for deputation because we saw God come through in so many ways. We picked right back up with meetings in TN for February. I am happy to report more churches have visualized their eternal rewards from work in the vast harvest fields of Italy, and taken us on for support. I am honored to be a servant to my brethren by connecting local churches to the mission field of Italy. God has continued to swing the scheduling door open-- allowing us to book several mission conferences into 2017. Booking 2017 missions conferences creates an outline as to when and where I need to schedule meetings— greatly increasing deputation efficiency. Not to mention almost all of 2016 is completely full! Please continue to pray for our travel as that all of March will be near the TN/NC/VA border. The missionary van is holding up well for the moment. There is a tool for the vehicle I could greatly use (it’s not an urgent need bu

O Say, Can They See?

Rise and Shine for Jesus! \O/   By Pam Iannell o (my late mother) A ministry of New Beginnings Baptist Church As I was musing over the 4th of July and the meaning behind it, I decided to read again the life of Francis Scott Key, the man who penned the words of the Star Spangled Banner.  In spite of the fact you are probably very familiar with it’s content (or should be!), I am going to include the first verse below, which says: O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming: And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there. O say, does that star spangled banner yet wave, O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave? A particular portio
